Fall is a beautiful time in Southern Idaho and there are lots of places to see while here. We recommend visiting a few different towns to see fall colors. Fairfield, Twin Falls, Hagerman, Lake Walcott, and the City of Rocks will all show off incredible autumn foliage! This is our list of the 5 best airbnb’s this fall season in Southern Idaho!
1. City of Rocks
The City of Rocks National Reserve is an incredible park filled with wild views and epic exploring. There are plenty of trees that turn yellow, orange and red in autumn. These colors mixed with the funky shaped rocks and gorgeous mountain skyline is a fall explorer’s dream.
The perfect place to enjoy all of these fall colors is by staying at the Pinion Yurt, located at the entrance of the City of Rocks. Fall gets chilly, but don’t worry, this yurt has a wood stove to keep you nice and warm. They even have wifi! This yurt sleeps 4 guests and has a fire place outside.
Tip: on your way from Rupert to the City, be sure to make a quick detour up Pomerelle Mountain! The fall colors are epic on this drive every year, and there are a few destinations to stop and walk around at including Lake Cleveland.
2. Hagerman Valley
The Hagerman Valley has so many outdoor recreation options in the fall! Soak at Miracle and Banbury Hot Springs, hike the gorgeous Box Canyon, kayak to Blue Heart Springs, and see fall colors all around!

3. Lake Walcott
Lake Walcott State Park is an escape north of the towns of Burley and Rupert, and turns all sorts of colors around the lake and park. This park is peaceful and perfect for enjoying a sunset over the lake.

5. Twin Falls Snake River
The Snake River is lined with beautiful orange and yellow trees during autumn. Colorful reflections dance across the Snake River where you can kayak or hike to. Pillar Falls, Auger Falls, and Shoshone Falls are great places to add to the list to visit!
Downtown Twin Falls is also a great area of town to stop by. Eat at delicious local restaurants, drink at breweries, and shop at small businesses!
